A rare Optima 50-60 typewriter with Arabic (Persian) keyboard. This typewriter model is quite modern looking and was produced in the early 1990s in East Germany. The typewriter is very friendly for beginners and regular users - it has one of the most light keys in the world which makes typing feel very smooth and easy. It also has some nice features like the chrome paper support and a setting to type in black and red, as well as a return lever to return the paper to the next row which (NOTE!) is situated on the right hand side for convenience. This typewriter types from right to left.
- Rare Farsi keyboard (these typewriters sell at very high prices even when not professionally serviced)
- Sturdy machine made for heavy typing
- Very light keys (easy to type longer periods of time without tiring your wrists and fingers)
- Good looking and will last you a lifetime
All our typewriters include a 1 year warranty.
This typewriter's mechanics work incredibly smoothly and all keys are fully functional. It comes with a classic black case and 2 original small cleaning brushes.
This typewriter has been disassembled, cleaned, polished and adjusted on feet. The platen, feed rollers and rubber have been treated and chemically cleaned. Bell works like a charm, carriage advances smoothly. All mechanics of this typewriter work 100% smoothly. This typewriter is in amazing, almost mint cosmetic condition. The chrome plated metal parts look amazing for it's age. The machine is in excellent mechanical condition.
The machine is finished off with a protective, museum-quality wax in order to protect the paint from oxidation, dirt, scratches and fingerprints.
The typeface is very beautiful, elegantly spaced and of good size, it is a Pica typeface, meaning there are 10 characters in 1 inch.
