A pre-order for a Hermes Baby - one of the best portable typewriter models for enthusiasts and writers and also one for the most sought after typewriters. The Hermes Baby model was the tool of choice for the great writer Ernest Hemingway. It is not without reason. The design of Hermes Baby typewriters is stunning, and it's aluminum body makes it extremely lightweight - great for both travel and carrying.
*TYPEFACE: Typeface PICA (10 characters per inch) or ELITE (12 characters per inch).
*KEYBOARD: qwerty layout (qwertz available as well)
*COSMETICS: Good cosmetic condition. Crinckle mint green paint finish of the body. The chrome plated metal parts very well preserved. The machine is finished off with a protective, museum-quality wax in order to protect the paint from oxidation, dirt, scratches and fingerprints. Some age marks expected. New felt lining. New ink ribbon. Completely refurbished, aligned, cleaned by our technicians. Including original metal spools.
*MECHANICS: Outstanding mechanical condition. As part of our restoring this typewriter has been thoroughly cleaned and has received new black/red ink and new felt lining. It is ready to withstand many hours of heavy typing with it's smooth carriage, light keys and sturdy design. It has new rubber feet, new felt pads, fine tuned to serve a minimum of 50 more years.
*CASE: A case in great condition. Cleaned and polished, working well. Possible age marks on the case, of course not affecting the function of it. (photos available before purchase)
*PERFORMANCE: We always recommend this model if you are planning on regular use and heavy typing. This typewriter has no other match and deserves it's own category - a true performer - built to last more than a lifetime.
All our typewriters are delivered to you ready to start typing. All machines have an installed new ink ribbon which should last at least 500 A4 pages.
Our typewriters include a 1 year warranty.
