*TYPEFACE: The keyboard layout is QWERTY (English). Typeface is called Elite - it types with 12 characters per inch. This is a elegant, small, readable letter font style.
*COSMETICS: This typewriter is in great condition - both the case and the typewriter itself. Smooth, metal green paint finish with minimum paint blemishes due to age. Please, note the bottom panel is seafoam crinkle paint. Everything on this machine is original and has high a collector value. The chrome plated metal parts look great. The machine is finished off with a protective, museum-quality wax in order to protect the paint from oxidation, dirt, scratches and fingerprints.
*MECHANICS: As with all our serviced typewriters - this one is in outstanding mechanical condition. As part of our restoring this typewriter has been thoroughly cleaned and has received new black/red ink and new rubber feet for optimal grip. We disassemble the typewriter and perform stress testing and also replace old/worn out parts. The typewriter is now ready to withstand many hours of heavy typing with it's smooth carriage, light keys and sturdy design. It has new rubber feet, new felt pads, fine tuned and aligned to serve a minimum of 50 more years.
*CASE: The case is in great condition. Cleaned and polished, it works well.
