Olympia Splendid is one of the top typewriter series ever produced. This typewriter was engineered to outlive and outperform many other portable models! Olympia boasts of it's precisely engineered mechanics and the practical design of their typewriter models. This Olympia Splendid 33 has a beautiful burgundy body, cuppy keys with soft lines on the outside and precise German mechanics on the inside.
*TYPEFACE: Pica, 10cpi typeface. The keyboard is German-English QWERTZ layout with the German umlaut for German speakers, and the "y" for english speakers which has a different position.
*COSMETICS: This typewriter is in very good condition. There are a few paint scratches on the body - mostly in the front where the wrists rest (left and right) and near the carriage rails (high quality detail pictures on request). The chrome plated metal parts look very good. The color is a light, creamy, buttery yellow with burgundy/wine keys. A few of the keys have light scratches.
*MECHANICS: As with all our restored typewriters - this one is in outstanding mechanical condition. It types as smooth as butter and looks amazing! The typewriter has been disassembled, cleaned, polished and adjusted on feet. Bell works like a charm, carriage advances smoothly. It is ready to withstand many hours of heavy typing with it's smooth carriage, light keys and sturdy design.
*CASE: The case is in excellent condition - both the leather, textile and pockets are intact and treated for preservation. The case is a beautiful, striped red and white color.
*OUR RECOMMENDATION: We always recommend this model if you are planning on regular use and heavy typing. This typewriter is a true performer which can also be carried anywhere with you.
