1959 Olympia SM3 Typewriter

Olympia SM3 is one of the top 5 typewriters ever produced and loved by many for good reasons. This typewriter was engineered to outlive and outperform many other portable models! Olympia boasts of it's precisely engineered mechanics and the practical design of their typewriter models. 

*TYPEFACE: Pica, 10cpi typeface. The keyboard has English-Dutch QWERTY layout.

*COSMETICS: This typewriter is in very good condition. There are a few paint scratches on the body - visible in the pictures. The chrome plated metal parts look very good. The color is a hue of darker green.

*MECHANICS: As with all our serviced typewriters - this one is in outstanding mechanical condition. It types as smooth as butter and looks amazing! The typewriter has been disassembled, cleaned, polished and adjusted on feet. Bell works like a charm, carriage advances smoothly. It is ready to withstand many hours of heavy typing with it's smooth carriage, light keys and sturdy design.

*CASE: The case is in excellent condition - both the leather, textile and external have been treated with special cleaners. The case is a beautiful, darker gray with green handle. It has brand new rubber feet 3D printed custom for this case specifically. 

*ADDITIONAL INFO: This typewriter is very easy to type on, it's suitable for light users who do not like to heavily hit the keys. The keys are very responsive, light to type on, perfect distance between the rows of the keyboard which is ergonomic. This model has something unique - it features a "cushion" effect of it's keyboard - when the key is depressed - it has a slight spring movement which absorbs the pressure. Moreover, for easy writing the keys stay perpendicular to the working surface with every press which is also a very unique feature for this model.

*OUR RECOMMENDATION: We always recommend this model if you are planning on regular use and heavy typing. This typewriter is a true performer which can also be carried anywhere with you.

All our typewriters are delivered to you ready to start typing. All machines have an installed new ink ribbon which should last at least 500 A4 pages.
