A fully functional and beautiful German Torpedo 6 typewriter from 1932.

*TYPEFACE: QWERTIJ Dutch-English keyboard, RARE 18cpi typeface. It has the letter "Y" in a different place than QWERTY keyabords.

*COSMETICS: This typewriter is in excellent condition - minor age signs (blemishes, paint scratches). All the glass keys are clear, shiny and clean. The chrome plated metal parts have been cleaned. The machine is finished off with a protective, museum-quality wax in order to protect the paint from oxidation, dirt, scratches and fingerprints.

*MECHANICS: As with all our serviced typewriters - this one is in outstanding mechanical condition. As part of our restoration process this typewriter has received a new key rest and new ink. It is ready to withstand many hours of smooth typing. It is a heavy, desktop writer - 12.5kg.

*CASE: Without case

*OUR RECOMMENDATION: We always recommend antique typewriters like this one for typing, although we do not recommend heavy typing. This typewriter has new ink. All machines have an installed new ink ribbon which should last at least 500 A4 pages.

Our typewriters include a 1 year warranty.

Solid, clean typewriter with rare and beautiful typeface

This is a wonderful, rare 1932 Torpedo 6, the first Torpedo manufactured with a segment shift. The typing action is smooth and easy, the print on paper dark and crisp. I love the rare, micro-gothic typeface. I'm delighted with this typewriter, which arrived in the U.S.A. from Europe with no shipping damage. Amazing! I've received many typewriters by international mail, and I've never seen a machine packed so securely! And, the typewriter is very clean. It smells good! I'll definitely be buying another machine from Amsterdam Typewriter.
