Presenting to you a US-made typewriter model - Remington Model 1 made in the USA. This typewriter is fabulous and has new rubber feet. This is one the most 'perfect', clean and well preserved typewriters of this model we have ever serviced. Comes in original glossy and stunning black finish. This is a collector's piece but it it not only a display piece - it works 100% and you can type on it. Unfortunately, due to the type mechanism (some keys hit the platen in different degrees) these models are not the best typers, as they tend to type very "light". I highly recommend installing a cotton ribbon on this one if you like more dark impression on paper.

It is in fabulous, near mint cosmetic condition - as seen from photos as well as excellent mechanical condition. It is a great model for those - who wish to dive into early Remington pre-WWII typewriter models. Due to it's typing mechanism, some keys hit the platen in different angles, so this model tends to type very light. If you like dark impression on paper, you can buy a cotton ribbon to use with this model. This typewriter model has a great reputation for sturdy mechanics, reliable and relatively easy to use but not with the most quick keys.

It is light to type on and does not make as much noise as all other typewriters.

*TYPEFACE: English QWERTY keyboard. 10 cpi PICA typeface. Meaning there are 10 characters (letters, symbols) in 1 inch (2.54 cm).

*COSMETICS: This typewriter is in near mint condition! And when I say near mint - I mean really good! Great condition of the paint- it's still very shiny and reflective, some mild damaging on top right ribbon cover.  The chrome levers are still in great condition. The machine is finished off with a protective, museum-quality wax in order to protect the paint from oxidation, dirt, scratches and fingerprints.

*MECHANICS: As with all our serviced typewriters - this one is in outstanding mechanical condition. As part of our servicing this typewriter has been thoroughly cleaned and has received new feet, new ink. It is ready to withstand many hours of typing with it's smooth carriage, light keys and sturdy design. It has 2 ink settings - meaning you can type in 2 inks simultaneously. For example - black and red. This typewriter comes with black/red ink.

*CASE: Wonderful black leather case with chrome polished automatic locks.

*OUR RECOMMENDATION: We always recommend this model if you are planning on often use or want to make for a display. This typewriter is also good type, but types very light, so I do not recommend it for heavy typists - great for occasional writing.

All our typewriters are delivered to you ready to start typing. All machines have an installed new ink ribbon which should last at least 500 A4 pages.

Our typewriters include a 1 year warranty.
